The fixes in this candidate largely relate to connecting to non local hosts as opposed to those that are detected via Bonjour on the local LAN. These non local hosts will typically be accessed over the Internet.

A slight change to behaviour was to initiate a heartbeat probe for non local hosts that we wished to connect to at startup. If the remote host is available at startup then a connection is initiated as normal. If not, the probe detects when the host becomes reachable and initiates a connection. This enables Bonjour like discovery behaviour over the Internet.
